We started NutriCherry.com in 2006 to provide tools around health and nutrition, life took over and one way or another we didn’t get around to fully releasing it at the time. However, we’ve recently “rebooted” the website and started to put out some healthy and nutritious recipes, that use mostly fresh ingredients. Over the next couple of years it will build out and it will hopefully get a bit more popular.
The aim of the website is to discuss healthy eating, with healthy recipes made with natural ingredients that have been tried and tested by us. The baking section is aimed at people who make bread at home, especially those just starting out.
Further, most of us don’t always have much time when we get into the kitchen, and a few labour saving devices such as bread-makers, wand mixers, food processors, and a few prepared ingredients can really help us to make healthy meals at home. Here I try and compromise between completely home-made and a few carefully chosen shortcuts.
Keeping track of what we eat is made easy these days, I’m a big MyFitnessPal user and really do recommend it, although I don’t use it every day, I use it pretty frequently to try and keep on top of how much I’m eating.
On the recipe pages, at the top of each recipe you’ll see a details section, where hands on time is about how long you could expect to be making the recipe for, total time is about how long it takes to make the recipe in full. Servings refers to about how many people you’d expect the recipe to serve. Obviously, these are a rough guide and if you’re making something for the first time, it could take a little longer.
We list out all of the ingredients needed, and then the method to prepare the meal, normally as part of the method there’ll be photos of significant stages so you can see what it should look like at that point.
